Weekend is here!

Well a busy week has come to an end. Today, thanks to my bestie, Melissa, I got to go order our adoption announcements and pics of the kids all alone! I was so happy to be out but felt a bit guilty leaving her with 7 kids! But by the time I got home, she had encouraged the kids to pick up toys and vacuumed for me! What a gal! I also was introduced to Spark today. It is a drink from Advocare that has vitamins and minerals and helps you with focused energy. It was interesting to hold a conversation without having my mind wandering as it does so often. I am going to go to a "mixer" on Sunday night to see what this is all about. Should be interesting.

Aiden got the name of his teacher last night and he is really excited about that. He got the teacher who likes monkeys. And since he likes monkeys, he is pumped. Interesting what a kid will pick up on by visiting a teacher's classroom briefly.

I am starting to try to get used to the idea that I am not going back to work. It hits me at different times and for different reasons. I think that it is a good move but I can't help but think about my friends who get to buy new things for their classrooms and decorate with new materials. I will not miss the ongoing pressure I felt to work unbelievable amounts of time. I feel that part of the job will not be missed.

As a new chapter of my life unfolds, it will be a good change. I am looking for ways to organize the days with the kids so that I keep them interested and keep myself interested. Because the kids are so young, I find it difficult to go any where without someone else to help me. I do have some great friends that said they will come by to play or hang out too. I am excited about talking to adults and not talking about not hitting and poop all the time.

So I guess that is it for now. Jesse is playing with Annie and we need to get her off to bed. Good night until another day.
